CAA SOCCER RULES

Soccer Meeting is Wednesday September 6, 2006 at Nativity at 7:00PM.  In order to receive your schedules, league fees must be paid and team rosters must be turned in to Mark Courtney in advance.  No exceptions.

1.  National Federation High School rules govern all play except for these CAA rule revisions.

2.  The CAA will provide a referee for each game.

3.  Both teams must furnish an acceptable game ball at each game.

4.  Playing time for all regular season 7th and 8th grade teams will be two 30 minute running time halves and a five minute halftime.  6th grade teams will play two 25 minute halves and also have a five minute halftime.  No overtime periods during the regular season.  A tie is a tie.  League standings will be detemined with two points for a win, one point for a tie, and zero points for a loss.

5.  All players must be students at the school he/she represents.  If your school has more than one team registered in the CAA, players are to play on one team only.

6.  Judgement calls by the officials are final and shall not be grounds for a protest.  Protests on rules misinterpretations must be in writing and turned in to the CAA offices within 24 hours of the game in question.  A $10.00 fee must accompany all protests; the fee will be returned if the protest is upheld.

7.  Mandatory equipment:  each player must have the same colored and numbered jersey except the goalie whose jersey must be a different color than both teams.

8.  The entry fee for 7th and 8th grade teams is $300.00 per team.  The entry fee for 6th grade teams is $200.00.

9.  Any player or coach ejected from a game by an official will be suspended from their next CAA game and face severe reprimand depending on the circumstances of the ejection.  Following a second ejection, the player or coach must come before the CAA board to explain his/her actions prior to returning to CAA games.  See the Code of Conduct on this website.

10.  The CAA reserves the right to make exceptions to the above rules.  Any situation that arises and is not covered in the above rules will be decided by the CAA rules committee.

11.  Players must wear shin guards.

12.  Please remember we are the guests of several area schools and recreation centers.  We do not want to lose the use of these fields due to the actions of a few inconsiderate individuals.  Please clean up clothing, gear, bottles, cups, and litter generated by your team and spectators.
